LGBTIQ Rights Forum

On Saturday 17 October, I attended the Gay and Lesbian Health Alliance SA (GLHA SA LGBTIQ Rights Forum at the Wheatsheaf Hotel. South Australians from all walks of life came together to discuss the 40th Anniversary of decriminalisation of homosexuality in SA and issues for the LGBTIQ community surrounding parenting, ageing and youth.

SA unemployment spikes 23.2 per cent

Today’s Australian Government Department of Employment labour force figures show that unemployment in South Australia has sky rocketed by 23.2 per cent in the past 12 months, with 13,100 people joining unemployment lines in that time.

State of Unemployment

Yesterday’s ABS labour force figures show that the percentage of South Australians in the workforce has fallen to just 57.3 per cent, the lowest figure since January 2003.
